Hello; this is Glen Gallagher. This site started with a perl Tk script running as a monilith, consuming roughly 2.5GB of ram... I considered making it into a phone app, but decided a website would be a whole lot easier. The main app is now running under 400 MB of ram; and i have a few of them going, with a flask front end.
